Common questions
What kind of game is ThreatHunter?
ThreatHunter: Bad Apples is a single-player cybersecurity adventure. Explore miniature 3D worlds, talk to characters, inspect evidence, and make decisions in fictional cases. Investigations lead to tactical encounters, with companions, equipment, and new skills to discover along the way.
Do I need cybersecurity experience?
You can choose Guided mode for more help or Analyst mode for a tougher deduction challenge. Hints, explanations, and the Field Toolbox help you work through cases at your own pace.
Can I play offline?
Local gameplay and saves work offline. iCloud synchronization and Game Center features require a connection and the relevant Apple service to be available. Apple Intelligence guidance also depends on device and model availability; authored guidance is available when it cannot be used.
How is my progress saved?
Your progress saves automatically on your device. In the game’s settings, you can also choose “Save now” or “Connect iCloud saves.” If local and cloud campaigns differ, the game asks which campaign you want to keep playing. Read the save details carefully before choosing.
My iCloud saves aren’t syncing. What should I do?
Check that both devices use the same Apple Account, that iCloud is available, and that you have an internet connection. Open the game’s settings and check the save status. If a conflict is shown, review the local and cloud campaigns. Your local save remains available while synchronization is pending. If the issue continues, email us the exact status message.
Do I have to use Game Center?
No. Your adventure works without Game Center. If you sign in, you can choose to share campaign progress for achievements and leaderboards. Check your campaign’s sharing setting if progress is not appearing. Availability can also depend on the build and Apple’s services.
Does the game contain real malware?
Cases use fictional scenarios and simulated evidence inspired by security research. The game does not execute real malware or scan your device. Commands and artifacts shown in cases are part of the game.
Where can I download it?
ThreatHunter: Bad Apples is coming soon for iPhone and iPad. The App Store link will be added to this website when it is available.
How do I ask about my data?
